Build tech that works for everyone.

Hackcessability is an accessibility-focused hackathon hosted by Kappa Theta Pi (KTP) in collaboration with Boston University Student Government (StuGov) and BU's Cybersecurity Association (BUCyS). One weekend, one building, one big idea: technology should work for everyone.

📍 Where: CDS 17th Floor, Boston University — 665 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA

🗓️ When: Saturday, November 7 – Sunday, November 8, 2026 · Kickoff at 12:00 PM Saturday

🍽️ Food: Provided all weekend (lunch + dinner Saturday, breakfast Sunday)

🏆 Prizes: One winning team per track

About the challenge

The big word for this hackathon is accessibility. Each track explores how accessibility applies to a different part of life:

🤝 Community — how people connect with their communities

🖥️ Technology — how people interface with technology

🔍 Information — how people find and understand information

🔐 Plus a security subtrack: BUCyS leads a cybersecurity subtrack and workshop on building security into your project. Every submission answers two short security questions — what you protected, and what you'd fix next — so security is part of every build.

  • Cybersecurity — led by BUCyS

Mentors walk the floor all weekend — flag one down any time you're stuck.
